RDA Explained

RDA Definition: Retail Display Allowance (RDA) is a fee paid by publishers to qualifying retailers as an incentive for displaying that publisher’s title(s) in its store(s) and to increase sales through better visibility and positioning.  Accordingly, both publisher and retailer increase their profit as sales increase.

Retail Display Payment, or RDP, is sometimes paid instead of RDA.  RDP is another form of payment for some checkout titles only.

RDA collection is a very complicated process and is also dependent upon store-level compliance.  The tremendous time and expense of preparing and collecting those monies make it almost impossible to be managed profitably by an individual, this then dictates that group collecting is the best way to achieve maximum revenue. As a result, companies have been formed to provide this service to retailers for a fee.  There are very few who offer this service.

Through our Partner RS2, we offer RDA incentive dollar collection and check-lane management services. Our goal is to optimize the collection of these incentives for you. Our competitive advantage is that we are in partnership with you, our client and therefore our focus is on optimizing your sales, not just your RDA and RDP payments.
